For use in a mug/tumbler press or convection oven.
Convection oven requires the use of shrink wrap to apply pressure during baking, sold separately.
Convection Oven Directions:
Apply sublimation transfer on the surface of the jar using heat tape.
For full wrap designs, make sure you pull the transfer as tightly as possible around the tumbler, then tape very well along the seam, Pulling the tape/transfer as tight as possible with no air pockets.
If your transfer does not fully cover the tumbler surface, apply blowout/butcher paper to the entire tumbler so that there is no glass showing on the sides (Protects the jar from shrink wrap).
Apply shrink wrap using a heat gun to shrink it tight to the jar.
Bake in a convection oven at approximately 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, turning halfway.
Remove from oven and immediately remove shrink wrap and transfer.
GLASS WILL BE HOT!! No sealant is necessary for sublimation.
Hand washing is recommended as the high heat in many dishwashers may reactivate the ink and cause it to bleed.
Tumbler Press Instructions:
Apply sublimation transfer on the surface of the jar using heat tape.
For full wrap designs, make sure you pull the transfer as tightly as possible around the tumbler, then tape very well along the seam, Pulling the tape/transfer as tight as possible with no air pockets.
Press in a tumbler press with light-medium pressure at 360°F for 150 seconds, then turn 180° and press another 150 seconds (if doing a full wrap).
Carefully remove from press and remove transfer.
GLASS WILL BE HOT!! No sealant is necessary for sublimation.
Hand washing is recommended as the high heat in many dishwashers may reactivate the ink and cause it to bleed.
