20 oz Straight SHIMMER Sublimation ready skinny tumbler RTS, White Iridescent SHIMMER sublimation tumbler
Skinny white iridescent SHIMMER tumbler for sublimation. These are the straight version, no taper.
20 oz straight skinny metal tumbler. Includes lid and metal straw. (rubber bottom sold separately if desired).
White iridescent shimmer sublimation coating that produces vibrant colors. For use in a mug press or convection oven. Convection oven requires the use of shrink wrap to apply pressure during baking, sold separately, and accessories such as rubber bottoms and straw cleaning brushes are also available in a separate listing.
***Convection Oven Directions*** PLEASE NOTE: equipment varies and so may your required settings. Please test your own equipment using these baseline recommendations. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO LOWER YOUR TEMP OR TIME WHEN BAKING/PRESSING THE SHIMMER TUMBLERS AS THEY DO BURN A LITTLE MOTE EASILY. I recommend reducing 15-20 degrees or reducing the bake/press time.
Apply sublimation transfer on the surface of the tumbler using heat tape. For full wrap designs, make sure you pull the transfer as tightly as possible around the tumbler, then tape very well along the seam and around the top/bottom of the tumbler. Pulling the tape/transfer as tight as possible with no air pockets. If your transfer does not fully cover the tumbler surface, apply blowout/butcher paper to the entire tumbler so that there is no metal showing on the sides.
Apply shrink wrap using a heat gun to shrink it tight to the tumbler.
Bake in a convection oven at approximately 365-385 degrees F for 4-5 minutes, turning halfway. (Please note: this is slightly less time than we recommend for our regular shiny tumblers. These may burn more easily.)
**If your tumbler is touching a metal surface during baking, the shrink wrap will be more likely to melt!
Remove from oven and immediately remove shrink wrap and transfer. TUMBLER WILL BE HOT!! No sealant is necessary on sublimation tumblers. *Hand washing is recommended as the high heat in many dishwashers may reactivate the heat and cause it to bleed.
